The Language Labs at both the Des Plaines and Skokie campuses support students taking courses in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Urdu, and English as a Second Language (ESL).
The following resources are available:
- Multimedia PCs with Internet access
- Headphones and cameras for video conferencing
- A library of ESL and modern language materials
- A variety of language software
Additionally, conversation groups and workshops tailored to the needs of each semester are offered. Lab personnel is available to assist students with equipment use and selection of appropriate materials.
Students enrolled in Oakton credit courses have priority access to the Language Labs. Students enrolled in the Adult, Continuing Education, and Workforce Development (ACEWD) classes or others interested in using the labs' resources are admitted on a space-available basis.

The labs operate according to the Oakton academic calendar, which may be different from the ACEWD calendar. During breaks between semesters, lab hours are likely to be limited. Hours may vary.
