This 14 credit-hour certificate prepares students for the use of advanced Microsoft Office software tools in a business office environment. The program emphasizes critical thinking and decision-making skills. Today, virtually all business jobs, at all levels, require an extensive use of Microsoft Office, including advanced features. This program will allow the student to gain experience with frequently used advanced features.
Completion of this certificate can lead students to obtain positions of Administrative Assistant, Office Administrator, Executive Assistant, Data Analyst, Research Analyst, and other office positions in any industry. Moreover, courses in this certificate align with the skill set needed to prepare for the Microsoft Office Expert Certification. A full-time student can complete this certificate in one semester if taken in Fall.
