This program will prepare students to safely operate small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS). Students will be able to articulate and demonstrate competency for the regulations and procedures of legal sUAS operation in both recreational and commercial drone flight. Additionally, students will have the ability to certify as recreational and commercial drone pilots under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) and PART 107 examinations. Students will be required to arrange and pay for these FAA examinations. This certificate can be completed in one semester.

- Explain the technical aspects of aircraft hardware and registrations markings.
- Demonstrate proficiency with sUAS flight operations including pre-flight planning, safety, contingency plans, and emergency procedures.
- Demonstrate core flight skills associated with various types of sUAS.
- Prepare for and successfully complete FAA TRUST and Part 107 examinations for certification.
